The DrayTek Vigor2928 Series is a multi-WAN security router engineered for offices, retail and branch sites that need 10 Gigabit uplink, hardware-accelerated NAT and a full DrayOS 5 security stack — IPsec / OpenVPN / WireGuard VPN, IAM, URL/IP Reputation and IPS. Pick the wired model when you have separate access points already in place, or pick the new Wi-Fi 7 model (Vigor2928be) for a single all-in-one router with integrated 4×4 802.11be Wi-Fi.

Site-to-site VPN with 540 Mbps IPsec
50 VPN tunnels, IPsec/IKEv1/IKEv2/IKEv2-EAP, OpenVPN and WireGuard. IPsec AES-256 throughput up to 540 Mbps, WireGuard up to 85 Mbps.
Local, RADIUS, TACACS+, mOTP and TOTP authentication. X.509 + Pre-Shared Key, 2FA for AD/LDAP via VPN Matcher.
Wi-Fi 7 option (Vigor2928be)
The Vigor2928be variant adds integrated 802.11be 4×4 MU-MIMO on both 2.4 GHz (1,376 Mbps) and 5 GHz (5,764 Mbps). 2 external dipoles + 1 internal 5 GHz antenna, OFDMA, 4K-QAM, 802.11r/k roaming and WPA3.
The base Vigor2928 ships without WLAN — ideal if you already have a Wi-Fi infrastructure or plan to use DrayTek VigorAP series with AP Management.
DrayOS 5 security and IAM
Full IAM (Users, Groups, Access Policies, Conditional Access), URL/IP Reputation with content categories, IPS threat protection and DNS Security (DNSSEC). 8 VLANs, hotspot web portal (4 profiles) and 802.1X authentication.
VigorACS 3 cloud management since firmware 5.4.0 — centralised provisioning, monitoring and reporting.
